At the Taj Mahal

Christmas Dinner at Mr. Webb's

Hello to our friends and family!

2005 is coming to an end and we would like to share what the year has meant to us.

It has been a very challenging year for Dave and Eugene in many ways and we, as a married couple, grew together through these challenges.

For Dave, the biggest event of the year was that he left the Bank of England, where he worked for two years and made loads of good friends, for Accenture as a Technology Consultant in March. And in July, he was sent to Bangalore, India, for six months, which has given him many opportunities to widen his personal and career experience. Dave will be going back to Bangalore for another few more months in January and we hope that he will grow through this experience even more.

Eugene went to India with him in July and stay there for two months. She loved exploring India although it is such a big country and two months with a busy working husband was not enough to learn sufficiently about its amazing culture. Unfortunately she had to come back to London in September to commence her last year of study.

Dave's India experience has been amazing in many ways and he utterly enjoys every single day of his stay there. However, Dave and Eugene, for the first time in our marriage, have been living in different continents for the last four months, which has challenged us a lot. It has not been easy, but we have grown together as a family through this time and realised what it means to be together. Also we have been so grateful that a lot of you have been so supportive and caring during this time and we would like to thank so much for that. There are a few more months left for us to lead our lives in this way and we ask for more support and prayer.

Following 2004, 2005 has also been a year of celebration. Our beloved friends Philippa and Francis got married in May, which marked the fourth marriage of our friends in the LSE Christian Union. We are also in the process of buying our first house at the moment and we hope that everything goes smoothly till we move into our very first "Yates' House".

2005 has also been a year of separation. Many of our friends have moved out of England. We missed those who could not be there with us at the annual Christmas dinner this year. There will be more of friends' moving to different places in the future and we hope that we will always keep in touch with our friends no matter where we are.

Dave and Eugene wish you a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We love you so much and we thank you all for your love and support.

God Bless,

Dave & Eugene Yates
